The membership of Ocean Pines Golf Club and the Ocean Pines Golf Members’ Council are now accepting applications for their golf scholarships.
Up to three scholarships of $500-$1500 each will be awarded to current seniors in support of their college plans for the 2016-2017 school year. Students from the local area, or who are involved with golf locally, are encouraged to check with the guidance office at their respective schools for an application. The scholarships are intended for local students who have shown an interest in golf; active participation in competitive golf is not a requirement. Golf team members and recreational golfers as well as those students who are interested in golf management and turf science are encouraged to

Golf is a sport for a lifetime that delivers more than 2 million jobs and $69 billion in annual economic impact while contributing $3.9 billion per year for philanthropic causes - more than all other sports combined, according to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of American and the USGA.
A professionally managed golf course also can demonstrate environmental stewardship and provide a place to meet exercise and fitness goals. Just walking 18 holes, for example, can burn more than 2,000 calories.

Online registration is now open for Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club's popular summer junior golf camps.
Junior players ages 5-14 of all abilities are encouraged to attend. Instruction in swing basics, rules and etiquette, irons, woods, chipping and putting will be covered by our PGA staff. Campers will spend time at the driving range, putting green and on the course.
Four camp sessions will be offered in 2016, including June 27-30, July 11-14, July 25-28 and August 8-11 from 9:30 am-1 pm each day.
PGA Junior League golf emphasizes playing competitive golf in a fun, social and inclusive atmosphere. Boys and girls ages 7-13 are invited to participate and advanced skills are not required. All team members will play in every competition.
