Thinking about a golf trip? The Princess Royale, an ocean front hotel resort in Ocean City, Maryland, has some tips in this guest post.
Are you planning to take a trip with your buddies sometime in the future? Maybe you’ve thought about spending the weekend in Myrtle Beach to party (long car ride involved). Or maybe spending two weeks in Ireland on a beer tour sounds like a good time (long flight involved).
How about a golf vacation in Ocean City, Maryland? Ocean City is within just a few hours of major metropolitan cities on the East Coast and has a variety of golf courses, hotels and restaurants to enjoy. Before you go, though, keep the following five tips in mind.
Father's Day is June 19 this year, which gives you just shy of four weeks to shop for the special dads in your life. If any of those dads is a golfer, consider the following gifts:
1. Golf Lessons
A golf lesson - or series of lessons - is a nonthreatening way to let Dad work on his game. Sometimes golfers think they can figure it all out on their own, but consider that ALL Tour players have someone helping them with their games. Golf can be a frustrating sport, but sometimes a tip or two from a PGA professional instructor is all it takes to get things going more smoothly. And there's no question that playing better makes golf more fun.
Ocean Pines Golf Club Director of Golf John Malinowski had the pleasure recently of hooking up with Scott Lenox and "Hooked on OC," the uber-popular local fishing show.
Lenox is a familiar face in Ocean Pines - not only is he an Ocean Pines resident, he also served as an assistant golf pro here for several years. Last year he traded his golf clubs in for fishing poles to pursue "Hooked on OC" full time, although the course is still near and dear to his heart.
If you haven't had a chance to catch the latest "Hooked on OC" episode featuring Ocean Pines Golf Club, the next airing of the entire show will be on Sunday, May 29 at 7:30 am on WMDT TV 47.
