$1 Million Shootout Qualifier Takes His Shot

OPGolf DonSmith 11.18.16
Don Smith, who qualified for Ocean Pines Golf Club's $1 Million Shootout at Residents' Day on Oct. 23, took his shot on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 170 yards on the 18th hole.
Although Smith missed the hole, he enjoyed beautiful weather and some nice parting gifts including two rounds of golf, golf balls and an Ocean Pines shirt, hat and pint glass.
He also got to celebrate his attempt (or drown his sorrows) with a drink in The Tern Grille with PGA Director of Golf John Malinowski as well as his brother Evan (an Ocean Pines resident) and his wife, Annette. Smith and his wife are residents of Arnold, Maryland and also own a house in Ocean Pines.
