OPLGA Member-Member Tournament Winners Announced

The Ocean Pines Ladies Golf Association held its Member-Member Tournament on Aug. 25. Ten teams competed in the Pinehurst (Chapman) format and enjoyed brunch at The Clubhouse Bar and Grille after.

The Ocean Pines Ladies Golf Association is an active golf league that encourages women to come out and play golf at Ocean Pines every Tuesday morning. New members are always welcome. For further information about the OPLGA, please contact the Golf Shop at 410-641-6057.

"Sand Dawgs" Help with Course Maintenance

The "Sand Dawgs" a group of Ocean Pines golf members who regularly assist with golf course maintenance by filling divots, were out this week sanding the fairways.

OPMGA Hosts Senior and Super Senior Championship

The Ocean Pines Men's Golf Association held its Senior and Super Senior Championship on Saturday, Aug. 15.
 
Super Senior Champions:
Bud Humphries Low Gross Champion, 80 –  8 = 72
Pete Gomsak Low Net Champion, 90 – 19 = 71

OPMGA Holds Member-Member Tournament


Pantone Fasulo OPMGAMemberMember2020Forty-eight Ocean Pines Men's Golf Association members participated in the 2020 Member-Member Championship on Saturday, July 18 at the Ocean Pines Golf Club.
 
The team of Al Fasulo and Joe Pantone bested the field with a first-place score of 67 for 18 holes. The event featured scramble, better ball and alternate shot formats.

Tournament winners included:

First-place team: Al Fasulo and Joe Pantone (67)
Second-place team: Craig Binetti and John Jensen (68)
Third-place team: Cliff Robbins and Paul Wineke (68)
Fourth-place team: Joe Lynch and Bud Humphries (70)
Fifth-place team: Al Wolski and Neil White (70)

New Clubhouse Construction Completed, Restaurant Now Open for Carryout

ClubhouseFrontOcean Pines Golf Club has officially received its certificate of occupancy, signaling the end of the year-long construction process that has resulted in a brand-new clubhouse.
 
Although the building is currently closed to the public per an executive order from Maryland Govenor Larry Hogan, Ocean Pines golf and restaurant staff are able to utliize the space.
 
The new restaurant and bar - The Clubhouse Bar and Grille -  when open, will feature a spacious bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a fireplace. A large outdoor deck and patio with a fire pit and outdoor television screens takes advantage of the scenic 18th hole and pond.
 
The restaurant is serving breakfast and lunch and is open for carryout only for golfers and non-golfers from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Food and drinks are available, and orders may be placed at the back deck located at the turn.
