Clubhouse Bar and Grille Becomes Popular Spot for Locals, Sunday Football

The Clubhouse Bar and Grille, opened in June, each week features the NFL Sunday Ticket on eight flat-screen TVs and one jumbo projection screen.
Ralph DeAngelus, cofounder of the Matt Ortt Companies that runs the Clubhouse Bar and Grille, said the new venue has already become a popular hangout for locals.
“In particular, last Sunday was super successful,” he said. “People love the way the building is set up, and they love the food and drink specials, and the great customer service people have come to expect.”
DeAngelus said people have also responded to the variety of games shown, with different NFL Sunday Ticket feeds shown throughout the bar and restaurant area.
“Each area can have its own game and the whole time we adhere to social distancing, so it’s worked out well,” he said.
Regular Sunday football food specials include 10 wings for $10, with choice of buffalo, Old Bay, honey mustard, sweet chili or honey Sriracha, as well as fried pickles with pub mustard, buffalo chicken or Philly style egg rolls, bratwurst, jalapeno poppers, and hot dogs.
Discounted beer and crush specials are offered each week, along with added food specials to go along with featured games.
“If it’s Buffalo it’ll be wings, if it’s Philadelphia it’ll be cheesesteaks, if it’s Kansas City it’ll be barbecue – that kind of thing,” DeAngelus said. “And we’ll always have your staples for Sunday football, all in a great atmosphere at what we hope will become your new favorite local bar.”
Sundays are also a great time to try out the links at the Ocean Pines Golf Club, the only Robert Trent Jones championship course on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Resident rates drop starting Nov. 1, to just $30. For public rates and additional information, visit www.oceanpinesgolf.org.
